Thank you for using M6toll. You may download a receipt once we’ve calculated and verified the final cost of your trip – usually a few hours after your journey (although this can be up to 48 hours).
To download a receipt, you will simply need the following:
- the date of your journey
- your Vehicle Registration Number
- the approximate time of travel OR the last 4 digits of the card that you paid with.
Please note: If you paid using Apple/Google pay the last 4 digits of your virtual card will be different to your physical card. Follow our step-by-step instructions to discover how to find your virtual card number.
Your card issuer will pre-authorise the maximum toll for your vehicle when you tap your card/device at the toll booth (this will appear as ‘pending’ in your banking App). The final amount charged may be less and will be shown on your online receipt.
Request your receipt
You can request a receipt for an M6toll trip using the form below. It may take up to 48 hours for your receipt to be available, so if you travelled very recently, your receipt may not be ready to download.

Paid by Apple Pay or Google Pay?
If you paid using Apple/Google Pay, please enter your virtual card details, rather than the details on your physical card. Discover how with our simple step-by-step instructions.
As an added security measure, there are a growing number of banks which have their own virtual card. Please refer to your card issuer, if you’re unsure as to how to access your virtual card.
Why is my receipt not available to download immediately?
The price for your journey is now based on where you join / leave the road, making it fairer for everyone.
As our toll plazas are not situated at the end of the road, we can no longer issue you a receipt at the booths (since your journey only completes after you leave M6toll).
It takes the system a few hours to calculate the final price automatically, although this can be up to 48 hours if we need to double-check any of the images from our ANPR cameras.
